The Christchurch Singers

Christchurch Singers are a group of people who meet weekly on a Thursday evening between 7.15 p.m. and 8.30 p.m. We sing on special occasions in Church Services, like Christmas, Easter, Harvest and special anniversaries during the year.

Currently, we have 40 members: 22 from Christchurch Methodist Church and 18 from other local churches who join us.

Making music is all about enjoyment. We are just ordinary folk who get together each week, try to make a joyful noise and enjoy fellowship with one another. So if you would like to come along and have a sing please do so.

Latest News

In December 2016 the Singers presented ‘Christmas Praise’ and the church was full to capacity. We were delighted to welcome our special guests, the Hooe Silver Band, and it was a wonderful evening of words, music and song. A collection was taken and £1000 raised for the Snow Flake Night Shelter Charity.

The concert was repeated a few days later at the Bexhill United Reformed Church and further funds were collected. A donation of £60 was also given by the residents of Llewelyn Lodge Apartments at their annual carol service.

These collections meant that we were able to make a total donation of £1,300 to the Snow Flake charity – and represented a most pleasant way to raise funds.

The Singers are already planning their ‘Music for a Summer’s Evening’ and this will be held at Christchurch Methodist Church on Saturday June 17th at 7pm - (the day following Sussex Day). Please book the date and we hope to see you. Our thanks to all who support the Christchurch Singers at each concert.
