Flower Festival 2007 - Hats, Hems and Headlines

The Bank Holiday weekend at the end of May saw the 19th Annual Festival of Flowers to be held at Christchurch Methodist Church.

The theme for 2007, our Centenary year, was "Hats, Hems and Headlines".

With 100 wonderful floral arrangements, one for each year between 1907 and 2007, plus 12 major displays representing the main theme, the Church looked beautiful and the scent was delightful.

The displays reflected and recalled a Century of Change. We looked back over time and displays incorporated items and accessories used in previous Festivals of Flowers.

The Festival helped to raise funds to help with the costs of modernising and refurbishment of Centenary House and also a donation will be made to Headway, the Brain Injury Association. For more details about Headway, see the Headway website

Please enjoy images of the wonderful flowers and displays.
